About Copper Horse Coffee Roasters
We are a small-batch specialty coffee roaster and tasting room in Ithaca, NY, specializing in fantastic fresh crop coffees from around the world. Our coffees are sourced through transparent and sustainable partnerships with coffee farmers, exporters, and importers. Then, the coffees are meticulously roasted to highlight the inherent nuances within each bean including their variety, process, density and terroir.
We want to share the simple fun of our good coffee with you, and we hope you’ll share it with your family and friends. A little sharing goes a long way - and like the namesake copper horse weathervane, it never goes out of style.

What a wonderful experience! And delicious coffee! I like to find local coffee roasters when I visit a new area. I just happened to be driving past the roastery on my way into Ithaca and stopped in. The smell of roasting coffee assured me that I was in the right place. Generous and friendly staff bagged up the beans when I arrived. A free bag of Ethiopian for a new customer (What?!?! Who does that?) and an additional bag of Sumatran. Both are delicious and reflect the their origin. I have a particular fondness for the Ethiopian, which was giving me reminders of raspberry chocolate. So so good. Thanks to the folks at Copper Horse Coffee!

We have taken advantage of Copper Horse’s coffee subscription for the past year, and have received a pleasant education in ‘coffee culture’! We opted for various coffees, and were not disappointed. Yes, we have our favorites, and found what we don’t particularly care for, but this was the best way possible to learn and experience all that. Most importantly, Jesse and the crew behind CHCR are exceptionally responsive and personable people - live people, who responds quickly to messages, and write real notes - in beautiful penmanship. Our experience with Copper Horse deserves WAY more than 5 stars! ⭐️🏆☕️🏆☕️🏆⭐️

I discovered this extraordinary coffee at our local coop, Honest Weight. The scent of the Ethiopian beans is one of lightness, sweetness and deep richness. I recall my first brew. Using a Kalita pour over, I knew I was about to taste a coffee above the rest simply by the sweet aroma coming from the cup. It’s divine. I endorse this blend as the best Ethiopian coffee I’ve ever tasted.

West coast coffee friends here🤗 tried the Pink Bourbon, OMG! We used up the 1st bag of beans in just a few days they were delicious! If you’re wondering if they’re worth price, they absolutely are! Thank you Copper Horse for amazing beans I haven’t been able to find anywhere else! Life time Customer!

This place roasts the best local coffee. I never knew I actually liked plain coffee untill I had theirs. Just a splash of cream and its heavenly !!!☕ The owners are so nice and generous. You can really tell they are passionate about their coffee because it really shows in the end product. This was picture of a cold brew nitro I had at Hopshire brewery, however they only roast the beans at the main shop but will gladly sell you a bag.
